Pharmacy collect December claims – Deadline extension

Due to high demand for Lateral Flow Device (LFD) tests, contractors now have until 11.59pm on 31st January 2022 to submit their December 2021 claims for the Pharmacy Collect service.

In light of the ongoing high demand, PSNC are also publishing a number of updates, including on the Availability of Stock.

Weight Management Health Campaign 2022

The Better Health Weight Management campaign is scheduled to run from January 2022. This campaign is part of the community pharmacy mandated health campaigns for 2021-2022.

Pharmacies will receive printed resources between 11-14 January 2022. The campaign will run for 5 weeks from the date you receive printed materials until 18th February 2022.

If you have not received printed materials by 15 January 2022, please email: partnerships@phe.gov.uk with ‘Weight Management Pharmacy Packs’ in the subject line and including your pharmacy name and full address in the email. 

Resources will also be available from the Campaign Resource Centre.

VirtualOutcomes have published their January pharmacy team training course on Vitamin D, please see the following flyer for more information.

Extension for medical exemption certificates due to expire

All medical exemption certificates due to expire between 14th December 2021 and 1st March 2022 will be extended for a further six months from the date of expiry. Until new certificates are issued, patients will be advised to present their letter from the NHSBSA as evidence of exemption.

Extention – Serious Shortage Protocol – Salazopyrin® EN-Tabs 500mg

Serious Shortage Protocol currently in effect for Salazopyrin® EN-Tabs 500mg (SSP014) is being varied to extended until Friday 14 January 2022.

This SSP was previously scheduled to end on Monday, 20th December.

Revised Pharmacy Access Scheme (PhAS) – Review application window has started

The revised Pharmacy Access Scheme (PhAS) began at the start of this year, on 1st January 2022. Eligible contractors that meet the updated criteria will receive the first monthly payment with the January reconciliation payment, due 1st April 2022.

The review application window began on 4th January 2022 and will close at midnight on 4th February 2022.
