Community Pharmacy – Mandated Health Campaigns for 2021/2022
NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSEI) and the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC) have agreed the national health campaigns, which community pharmacy contractors must participate in, covering the remainder of 2021/22.
The campaigns are:

Further information will be shared with Pharmacy Contractors and NHSEI regional teams closer to each campaign launch date so you are aware of when you will receive printed resources, where other social media and digital resources are available and the campaign delivery dates.
Change of telephone number – main NEL CCG (BHR) switchboard
We would like to notify you that as of 27 November 2021, the main switchboard number for NHS North East London Clinical Commissioning Group (NEL CCG) Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge will be changing from 020 3416 5905 to 0300 136 225.
It is important that all of our local pharmacists are aware of this change. We would therefore ask you to disseminate this information widely.
Calls to the old number will be diverted to the new number for eight weeks after the migration date to ensure that no enquiries are missed.
Vaccination as a condition of deployment (VCOD) for all healthcare workers
This week (9th November) DHSC announced that individuals undertaking CQC regulated activities in England must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including secondary and primary care.
Regulations are expected to come into effect 1 April 2022, subject to parliamentary process. Therefore, unvaccinated individuals will need to have their first dose by 3rd February 2022 to have their 2nd dose by 1st April 2022.

The updated community pharmacy flu PGD was published yesterday, 11th November, to include the new cohort of primary care contractors (primary medical services, pharmaceutical services, primary dental services or general ophthalmic services) and their frontline staff, including locums.
Please ensure you have reviewed and signed the updated PGD, and informed all relevant staff.
PQS 2021/22 Training – Virtual Outcomes
Virtual Outcomes have release their PQS 2021/22 online training modules.
