Registration Open: NELLPC GP CPCS Upcoming Webinars
The LPC will be holding GP CPCS webinars to support pharmacy contractors in the coming weeks. Please see the following dates available and book your place as soon as possible.
Further detail will be available in due course, for now please secure your place and save the date in your diary, as places are limited.
Each webinar will cover the same topics; therefore, contractors should only register for one date.
Places are limited, on a first come first served basis. Joining details will be shared with registered participants closer to the date. Please do not share these joining details as unregistered guests will not be permitted entry.

Smartcard access to the MYS portal ends Sunday
Smartcard access to the MYS portal will end at 11:59pm this Sunday, 16 May 2021.
Contractors will need to have registered for MYS access using their NHSmail login credentials.

CIS Live Service Changes
NEL CCG have informed the LPC of the following update about the recent CIS move
What will this mean to you?
This change will improve platform stability, and the overall user experience. Ahead of the transition, your IT function will need to:
- Make a change to your firewall;
- Apply root certificates;
- If applicable, remove hard coded IP addresses.

NHS Prescription Services have published their a quarterly “Hints & Tips for dispensing contractors”. newsletter for May 2021.
First Mandatory Pharmacy Campaign – Campaign Materials
Please be reminded that pharmacies will soon be asked to participate in the first national pharmacy campaign as part of their NHS contractual requirements.
As agreed by NHSE&I and PSNC, this will be a COVID-19 vaccination campaign as be part of the ‘Join the Millions’ national advertising campaign.
Campaign materials are due to arrive in pharmacies imminently, between Thursday 13th and Tuesday 18th May 2021. Packs will include:
- A pharmacy team briefing sheet explaining what the materials are and how to use them;
- An information leaflet for use with patients, answering commonly asked questions;
- Posters; and
- A window sticker.
More information on the campaign is expected to follow shortly.
IG Toolkit Support – Deadline 30th June 2021
Please be reminded that Community Pharmacies must complete their information governance (IG) declaration by 30th June 2021.
In support of submitting your declaration, PSNC have published a range of support materials for pharmacies completing The Data Security and Protection Toolkit for 2020/21.
If you have not yet done so, please read through the available support materials from PSNC and begin to complete The Data Security and Protection Toolkit in order to submit your declaration by the 30th June deadline. It is recommended that pharmacies begin working on this as soon as possible.
NICE – Lay member topic expert committee vacancy for reducing sexually transmitted infections
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence(NICE) is currently recruiting for a lay topic expert member to join the Public Health Advisory Committee (PHAC) developing guidance on ‘reducing sexually transmitted infections’.
Please circulate to relevant members of your organisation, or people that you think may be interested, of this opportunity to apply.
