8th May Bank Holiday Claims – Now open!

The window for claiming payment for opening on the Early May Bank Holiday (Friday 8th May) is now open. Contractors must submit their claim for the £250 per hour payment using the Manage Your Service (MYS) portal between the 25th May 2020 and 22nd June 2020.

This claim is for up to 3 hours of the day you required to open were open only, most likely between 2 – 5pm unless you were granted flexibility on these hours locally. Any claims for beyond three hours must be claimed from the regional team as per agreement with them. However, you must not duplicate claim for the three hours.

This payment will not appear on FP34 Schedule of Payment, NHSBSA will provide confirmation of payment via individual contractor letters.

Payment is expected to be made 1st July 2020.

NPA – Survey investigating financial position of Independent Pharmacies

A survey from EY (formerly from Ernst & Young) has been commissioned by NPA in order to investigate the financial position of independent community pharmacies and inform the first annual review of funding in England under the five-year contractual settlement. This survey will also capture information on the impacts of COVID-19.

We are urging all contractors to take a few moments to give their feedback – please ensure your vital contributions are considered by submitting your feedback.

£50m injection for pharmacies to ease cashflow

PSNC have today announced that Minsters have agreed to inject a further £50m of advance funding into community pharmacies at the end of May.

This is following conversations regarding the cashflow issues facing many community pharmacies in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. PSNC have announced that NHSBSA are calculating payments with the intention that the extra £50 million can be paid at the same time as the 1st June payment.
