Opportunity for pre-registration pharmacist placements in general practice – 2021 intake

Please see the following opportunity from Health Education England. Please notify the LPC of your intention to apply for this, and send any queries to Marc Krishek at marc.nellpc@outlook.com.

Thank you

Dear All,

Health Education England have facilitated placements for pre-registration pharmacists in general practice for trainees undertaking their training in 2019 and 2020. Year on year the number of placements has grown and we are delighted to say that there will be even more opportunities available for trainees commencing training in 2021.

An expression of interest process will be launched in December (open until mid-January) for employers wishing to host trainees in partnership with general practice.

The first step is for interested organisations to form a partnership. Further information on the host requirements, including remuneration, can be found in the attached document.

We will be in touch with more information on the expression of interest process in the coming weeks alongside opportunities to attend local events or webinars where more information will be available.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact GpPreRegPharm@hee.nhs.uk
