*The PCT communicates a vision, priorities and strategy clearly to pharmacy users.
*The PCT communicates a vision, priorities and strategy clearly to pharmacists.
*National guidance is being followed e.g. The Pharmacy White Paper and WCC Guidance

LPC comments:

*The PCT has yet to engage with the pharmacy users.
*Senior management engage with pharmacy users at the forums. (may be not always followed up)
*Under Level 2 PCT meets all the requirements but we feel that the local population would need convincing with evidence that the local NHS is improving community pharmacy.
*THE PCT is of late beginning to engage a lot early with the pharmacy leaders and avoid playing its cards close to its chest.
*The CEO presented the CSP twice and the policlinic agenda
*Stated aim to integrate services is still a dream.
*LPC and pharmacists actively involved in the PNA which will help with this
*PCT is a GP led organisation.
*Pharmacists feel that things are done to them rather than engaging them in co-creation.
*Plans for developing the estates need to demonstrably involve pharmacy community at an early stage.
*Board level engagement could improve to instil confidence that all Board members have an understanding of pharmacy and its potential.

LPC Scoring: Level 2

Level 3 could easily be achieved by observing national guidance, and including pharmacy in the new CSP

The LPC has posed several questions to the PCT Board and awaiting responses.
