Sexual Health PGDs and Training- Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest

FOR NEWHAM, TOWER HAMLETS AND WALTHAM FOREST PHARMACISTS

PGDs for the Sexual Health contract in Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest have been finalised.

Training is due to be set up by Barts in the Autumn, there are several actions that must be completed for each PGD before this training can be undertaken.

Entry criteria for the training will be:

1 Successful completion of the CPPE PGD e-learning programme

  • or evidence that of achievement of the competency levels specified in NICE Competency Framework for Health Professionals using Patient Group Direction https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/mpg2

2 Can satisfy the requirements of self-declaration of qualifications and competence to deliver services according to the CPPE Programme for Sexual health in pharmacies (CPPE 2015) and/ or theLearningpharmacy.com – Sexual health (community pharmacists)

Completion of Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) e-Learning and e-assessment for Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults (level 2)

  • Completion of CPPE Declaration of Competence (DoC) on Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults (level 2).

4 Completion of Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) e-Learning and e-assessment for Emergency contraception.

  • Completion of CPPE Declaration of Competence (DoC) on Emergency contraception.
