Atrial Fibrillation Awareness Week

AF Awareness Week: Monday 20th November- Sunday 26th November

Atrial Fibrillation is the most common arrhythmia disorder. With over 1 million people being diagnosed in the UK alone, raise awareness of the condition during this campaign.

Holding an AF Awareness Activity

Part of the AF Associations campaign is to hold an AF Awareness activity to identify anyone with undiagnosed Atrial Fibrillation.

AF Screening Pledge

The current UK National Screening Committee (NSC) recommendation on AF screening in adults does not recommend systematic population screening.

AF Association, Arrhythmia Alliance and the All Party Parliamentary Group on Atrial Fibrillation are campaigning for the NSC to reconsider this decision. The AF screening pledge is to pledge support for a commissioned national screening programme for those over 65 that are at risk of AF.
